Astrology: Language, philosophy, religion, science…?

The definition of astrology is one that is ever evolving and specific to the times in which it exists. I have several flexible working definitions of astrology…

  1. Astrology is an archetypal understanding of the growth and development of an individual as it relates to the growth and development of our planet and that of the cosmos writ large.

  2. Astrology is both an objective and subjective science (Marion D. March & Joan McEvers), The objective part is the astronomy and simple math and geometry that is needed to calculate birth charts by hand which is why this is a skill I intend to master this year. The subjective part involves the philosophy involved in interpreting a chart based on applying the knowledge of the energies the planets have exerted on us throughout hxtory.

  3. It is one of the few professions that allows for the existence of things we do not fully understand and as such humbles us to our place in the Great Life. It is equal parts philosophy, sociology, hxstory, and astronomy.

…just as easily as it can be a goal” You may be stuck on an area of your life that isn’t crucial to your growth and development. Let me help you work with your astrology to figure out where that might be.
