A Horoscope ripe for (Who’s) Revolution?

As we reckon with revolutionary change…

It is about:

Belonging fully to the briefness of our own lives (paraphrased from A Dog Called Fig)

****as always these are general horoscopes and they may not affect you at all. To find out how they specifically affect you, if at all, please book a reading

***You can find previous week’s horoscopes on my blog.

Alright so the loaded days for us this week are mostly Monday and Tuesday. Monday, May 6th, we have a Mercury conjunct Chiron and Tuesday we have a New Moon in Taurus.

This means that your communications may become deep quickly on Monday. They may also trigger deep core emotions linked with early memories or emotional wounds we had in childhood or earlier in life. Since both planets are in Aries, these wounds may actually be physical ones that led to some kind of emotional or psychological wounding later on. Maybe abandonment, maybe not feeling like you are enough etc. It could all be in your head or it could come up in conversation with someone.

We also have a Sun sextile Saturn later in the day on Monday around 10:42pm PST. So if something comes up, Saturn may help you put a plan in motion to actually address the wounding and get some closure. The transit will last until the 10th so it’s a good time to make use of it with something like therapy or a deep and meaningful with a trusted friend or two who don’t sugar coat things but are still gentle with their delivery.

The New Moon in Taurus on Tuesday will also be conjunct Uranus, Jupiter AND Venus. This means collectively it is a great time for revolutionary change. Now everyone hears that and automatically thinks “oh great MY revolution will be successful!” I want you to remember three things 1. Planetary energies do not care WHO’s revolution as long as quick change for the masses happens 2. What is beneficial to one group of people may be harmful to another 3. Revolution historically has NEVER been seamless and usually has some painful elements. The ruling class usually just watches while the rest of us actually bear the brunt of things. So think about things first before running head long into someone else’s idea of revolution. What are the longterm costs? Are you willing to risk that?

This New Moon also features a Jupiter trine Pluto which is well starred for whatever change happens, making it easier for us to reckon with anything we may have done in the past both individually and as a collective of humans.

There are some big changes afoot for humanity at large and have been for awhile. I know it feels like we rarely catch a break and you are not wrong! Remember that all of these planetary transits push us to evolve and that is what we are asked to do in this life. Remember - no one gets out of this alive so why not shed some soul skin in the process?!

In the words of Helen Humphreys who wrote a book I am currently loving called Solitude, Connection, the Writing Life and a Dog Called Fig.

“It is about belonging fully to the briefness of my own life”
