MARINA ASTROLOGY-Earthy New Moon Weekly Horoscope 12/30-01/05
It’s time to consider your resistance. I have been having more than the usual amount of conversations with people of all ages who are finally fed up with systems that they had formally supported without realizing how much these same systems had and have been contributing to their own suppression.
As painful as this moment is for many of us, or will be for others who don’t yet realize what the cost to them will be; what is certain is that people now have energy for the task at hand. After the election many of us were demoralized. A little more time passed and even more of us became demoralized even if we were formerly in alignment with the results. People are waking up. This is the work of Pluto. When a caged animal’s back is to the wall all it can do is everything it can! Insert Luigi Mangione (or whoever killed the CEO).
Pluto turns us around slowly, and then all at once, towards the demons we have been avoiding, and allows us to fully experience the terror that will lead to our eventual transformation by any means necessary.
And here we are my friends. As Mars, planet of aggression, opposes Pluto; we have no choice but to act. This can be frustrating when Mars is retrograde, as it will be until early Spring, because the actions we want or do take may be somehow held up.
Monday
Today we have a New Moon in Capricorn which is a wonderful state for a NEW Moon to be in even though the Moon is usually uncomfortable in Capricorn.
Earth sign New Moon’s are helpful because they are more about planning and sometimes planting things versus releasing like we do on a Full Moon. The Mars Pluto transit may make it difficult to access all this New Moon has to offer, but Capricorn is a Saturn ruled sign which means it likes steps, slow well thought out action plans and the Moon is all about feeling.
So how can we feel into the types of resistance we want to pursue?
What steps to we need to take with regards to our own mental health to be able to show up for the revolution? No matter how big or small?

Mars directly opposes Pluto (see above). Also, Venus is going to move into Pisces which is the sign it feels the most connected and shiny in. So there are some helpful, reflective, and connective aspects to this New Moon.

A Note on The New Year
This is an arbitrary date that has nothing to do with the natural cycles of Earth and the Cosmos, but we humans have made it an important day so here we are.
Twenty twenty five and 2026 have been years that astrologers have been looking at and trying not freak out about for decades now. This is because planets that change signs every decade or two are changing signs. They also often do NOT change signs at the same time and this is happening now as Pluto AND Neptune change signs as well as Saturn which changes signs every few years AND Uranus which changes signs about every 7 years. These planets are generational which means they will literally affect whole generations of people significantly.
Although planetary energies can go many different ways, it is safe to say that we have had enough build up to this moment to know that the potential for our worst fears to be realized is in fact possible. HOWEVER, when we are at the bottom or close to it there is only one direction to go if we move at all so…
