Would You Download Your Consciousness to Save The Earth? Pluto in aquarius musings

I have recently thought about the very real possibility that we could be the last generation to be “allowed” to die. 

I moonlight as a registered nurse and have seen first hand, how long we keep inanimate objects, that used to be human, alive and for what? For their families to prolong what will already be a life-long grieving process? Until the memories of their beloved in a vegetative state start to fully replace their former vibrant memories of this loved one laying before them? Until they are almost unrecognizable? To use up resources that are needed for other suffering humans? To use their loved ones as science experiments to test new drugs, therapies, and machines? The latter of these “for what’s” is probably the more likely explanation. If the family member is a child the situation becomes even more complex.

What if we had technology to keep your mind alive while we let your body die? Would you want to stay around in a different form? What if your mind was so prized in society that you weren’t allowed to turn it off for the good of humankind? 

Awhile back, I ran across an article that said that we were close to being able to download our consciousness into another body. At the time, I wanted nothing to do with that kind of technology. However, We are close to having the technology to be able to do just that. This would be something akin to changing “skins” in a video game and it is terrifying to me. How do YOU feel about this very real possibility? I had NO interest in this kind of life but then I gave it another thought; turned around the feeling like they did in the 2015 Pixar movie Inside Out when they turned over happiness and found out the other side of it was saddness and that they were both a part of the same thing; I realized that due to my own personal astrological makeup I would be IN! This is mostly because my birth chart has a lot of caring and protecting in it, with many Cancer and Leo placements. So if this possibility was coupled with some kind of mission to take care of something or right some kind of wrong I could most likely be convinced.

I have little interest in collecting more travel experiences or continuing along with the false predictability of the modern life, but saving the planet from ourselves sounds like a fun and significantly challenging project. Something that is worthwhile. 

Pluto takes almost 250 Earth years to complete a cycle. So one Pluto Day is around 250 of our Earth Days! Pluto will be in Aquarius for about 20 years. So wherever it lies in your birth chart, it will be stirring things up in a transformational/destructive kind of way in that part of your life. 

In terms of our Earth, We are entering into a new phase of technological advancement. A.I. has the ability to solve all our problems or create new ones that may destroy us. We are truly living in existential times! Maybe Pluto in Aquarius’ mission for us here on Earth is to transform our planet out of all the destruction.

Pluto is all about death and rebirth, destruction and transformation. Pluto was in all of our skys (our birth charts) when we were born. Most of us know our Sun sign, but do you know what sign Pluto was in when you were born? Or what planet rules the sign of Aquarius in your chart? Or what part(s) of your life aka what House will be most affected by Pluto in Aquarius for these next 20 years?

Maybe we will all get at least a “Pluto Year” of existence and it will be because some of us will be tasked with saving the Planet. We will be able to stick around here as stewards of this beautiful blue-green ball. now THAT I would sign up for!
