FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN 7/10 HORRORSCOPE
How do we feel about the deep rooted systems of oppression?
So let me preface this by saying that I had coined the “Horror-Scope” before, but at the time felt like it might turn some folks off. I’ma be real with ya’ll…if you didn’t already know…there is a LOT of horror in this world currently so the name is staying.
This is not to say there wasn’t before, or that things can not get worse, but the light has been shown on the underbelly that is Capitalism and the idealization of Western Imperialist Kulture.
Most of my community knew that what we were/are being sold was/is a farce from the gate, but some were and are still ok to live in plausible deniability under (d)emocracy as long as Capitalism is still providing them with their Amazon addictive shopping habits and Nintendo Switch. It is truly amazing how we all become toddlers put in a corner to keep quiet in front of screens so easily.
The organizing currently is endless and the astrology supports all hands on deck. This week/life YOUR life is no exception. It’s on you/us. So let’s go already!
Now on to what ya’ll came here for…
July has a lot of lunar transits. More so than pivotal planetary transits. This means that the Moon is imbued with a bit more umph this month.
The Moon represents our felt emotional landscape. We often lodge emotions inside ourselves if we cannot find ways to express them outwardly in a healthy way. Have you ever cried out of nowhere on a bike ride, yoga class, running for the bus? These are all examples of ways emotions force themselves out of us as our bodies enter into physical motion. Some even believe (🙋🏽♀️) that stuck emotions can lead to physical ailments.
This is the month to work with the Moon. It is also the month that you may be feeling a bit more emotional on full or new moons.
The Moon is in the sign of Capricorn which grounds us. Full moons want us to release something.
What have you planted that is laying fallow? Is it time to dig it up and give it a rest?
Release it and move on to a new goal when we hit the New Moon coming up on the 24th.
…I say this with caution because that New Moon will probably trigger our survival mechanisms based on the other transits surrounding it, which we will talk about later in the month. However, If the goal involves courage, showing up, doing hard things for a marginalized group or the greater good, it will be well starred. The truth is that we will probably all have to put our big human pants on around this date.
This month we also have Saturn and Neptune meeting up in the sign of Aries. So things not appearing quite as they seem may be a theme this month. It is also equally as possible that we will have to work hard to maintain a grip on whatever constitutes reality these days.
There are also a lot of astrologers talking about the significations of Uranus moving into Gemini and how previous times this happened correlated with the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and and WWII. Uranus moved into Gemini on Monday July 7th and it will stay there for about seven years.
Before you freak out, remember that there are multiple ways planetary transits can express themselves. We DO have some agency in the matter. Venus also trines Pluto this day, so look out for women, femmes, and marginalized communities acting up and speaking out.
This full Moon may also have us in our feelings about what the systems and structures we have set up in society are actually doing to support/oppress us.
